If you have been in HSSD schools or our Head Start program before, please read the returning students checklist.

CHILD FIND FOR PRE-SCHOOL REGISTRATION:

• Students must be 3 years old on or before August 15. 
• Child must attend the screening appointment.
• Pre-School is not Open Enrollment.  Students must live within the Huntingdon School District.
• The following documents are required unless the enrolling student is in state custody or is experiencing homelessness:
  • Preschool application (paper) with proof of income
  • Birth Certificate or other official records of birth
  • Current physical examination
  • Child's Social Security Card
  • Current immunization form
  • One proof of residency - samples include:  Lease Agreement/Mortgage Statement/Utility Bill/Bank Statement/Paystub/Voter Registration or some type of legal mail

• After completing the screening request, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person appointment.

PRE-K/VPK REGISTRATION:

• Students must be 4 years old on or before August 15. 
• Call Huntingdon Head Start at 731-986-7526 to complete the application or click HERE to begin application online.
• Pre-K is not Open Enrollment.  Students must live within the Huntingdon School District.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:

• Students must be 5 years old on or before August 15.
• Call the primary school at 731-986-3091 to make an appointment for May 8th.
• Child must attend the meeting on May 8th.
• IF YOU ARE OUT OF DISTRICT, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE OPEN ENROLLMENT FORM FIRST.
• Please bring the following items with you on May 8th.
  • Child's Birth Certificate
  • Child's Social Security Card
  • Immunization form signed by Physician & marked complete for K-6th grade.
  • Two proofs of residency - samples include:  Lease Agreement/Mortgage Statement/Utility Bill/Bank Statement/Paystub

   

   

NEW STUDENT TO HSSD (Never been enrolled in our district or Head Start program):

• IF YOU ARE OUT OF DISTRICT, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE OPEN ENROLLMENT FORM FIRST.
• Call your designated school office to make an appointment for new student enrollment.

• Please bring the following items with you to that appointment.
  • Child's Birth Certificate
  • Child's Social Security Card
  • Immunization form signed by Physician & marked complete

• After meeting at the school, click the picture below to complete the online portion of your registration.  You will be filling out forms for the upcoming school year.  

ANY STUDENT ENROLLED IN HSSD SCHOOLS THE PREVIOUS SCHOOL YEAR, INCLUDING PRE-K/PRE-SCHOOL AT HPS.
